The bookstore Wittwer is one of the largest and most traditional bookstores in Germany and looks back on more than 150 years of company history. The merger with Thalia took place in 2018. Since then, the location on Stuttgart Schloßplatz, the branch in Schwabengalerie Vaihingen and the branches in Breuningerland Ludwigsburg and Sindelfingen are operating under the name Wittwer-Thalia.
Wittwer-Thalia offers a wide selection of books, illustrated books, maps and comics on five floors at Stuttgart's Schloßplatz. In addition to fiction, the range is rounded off by its own specialist book department. Those with a penchant for books should not miss a visit to Wittwer, as they still say in Stuttgart.
Those who want to relax from the immense selection can take a break for coffee and cake in the adjoining café. The café offers a direct connection to the Kleiner Schloßplatz with tables outside.
In the Thalia online shop you can check whether a book is available at the Wittwer-Thalia branch on Schloßplatz or at other Wittwer branches in Stuttgart. Or you can order online and have your books delivered to one of the Wittwer branches in Stuttgart for collection.
