As is well known, all roads lead to Rome and most also to Stuttgart. Only on the waterway is it difficult, although Stuttgart lies on the river Neckar and even has its own harbour. Below you will find a short overview. For details click on the corresponding menu item under "Reach out Stuttgart".
-
Stuttgart is located at the intersection of the A8 and A81 motorways and can be easily reached by car. At least if there is no traffic jam.
-
Stuttgart's main train station is located directly in the city centre and therefore offers a good alternative for travellers whose destination is in the city centre. Due to its central location and the connection to public transport including regional trains, the main station is also the ideal starting point for all destinations in the city area and the region.
-
Stuttgart is also the stop for many long-distance buses, which, due to the construction work on Stuttgart 21, now stop at the airport and no longer travel directly to the city centre.
-
Stuttgart Airport is located south of Stuttgart, and the city centre can be reached in less than half an hour by S-Bahn.
