The airport Stuttgart (STR) has the three arrival gates T1, T3 and T4 and scores with short ways. Luggage is usually retrieved very quickly.

The official airport name is called "Manfred-Rommel-Flughafen", named after the former mayor of the city of Stuttgart. The site is located approx. 10 km south of Stuttgart and is connected to the A8 motorway and the B27 federal highway. There is a metro station (S-Bahn) in the airport building and the nearby Stuttgart Airport Busterminal (SAB) connects with regional transport networks as well as with long-distance bus lines.
