Getting to Stuttgart fair trade and exhibition grounds
Access Stuttgart trade fair grounds by car
Like Stuttgart airport, the trade fair grounds are located outside Stuttgart's environmental zone. Visitors won’t need a so called 'Grüne Plakette' to proof that their car is fulfilling the environmental requirements. Thus, also the Stuttgart driving bans for diesel cars with Euro 4 standard and worse is not relevant here.
If you are travelling by car, the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre is perfectly connected, only the potential risk of traffic jams in and around Stuttgart is a drop of bitterness. If you still want to travel by car, here is the address:
From A8 motorway
Coming from city of Karlsruhe: Exit 52a 'Stuttgart Möhringen' or Exit 53a 'Stuttgart Flughafen/Messe'
Coming from Munich: Take Exit 53b 'Stuttgart Plieningen' or Exit 53a 'Stuttgart Flughafen/Messe'
From A81 motorway
At the Stuttgart motorway junction ('Autobahnkreuz 20 - Stuttgart') change to the A8 in the direction of Munich/Airport. Then follow the directions from Karlsruhe (see above).
From B27 federal road
Coming from Tübingen, follow the B27 until the Exit for 'Vaihingen-Möhringen'. Then parallel to the motorway.
From direction of Stuttgart, take the A8 exit towards Munich, but do not drive onto the motorway, but follow the signs towards the airport Messe.
