Access Stuttgart trade fair grounds by car

Like Stuttgart airport, the trade fair grounds are located outside Stuttgart's environmental zone. Visitors won’t need a so called 'Grüne Plakette' to proof that their car is fulfilling the environmental requirements. Thus, also the Stuttgart driving bans for diesel cars with Euro 4 standard and worse is not relevant here.

If you are travelling by car, the Stuttgart Trade Fair Centre is perfectly connected, only the potential risk of traffic jams in and around Stuttgart is a drop of bitterness. If you still want to travel by car, here is the address:

Coming from city of Karlsruhe: Exit 52a 'Stuttgart Möhringen' or Exit 53a 'Stuttgart Flughafen/Messe'

Coming from Munich: Take Exit 53b 'Stuttgart Plieningen' or  Exit 53a 'Stuttgart Flughafen/Messe'

 

 From A81 motorway

At the Stuttgart motorway junction ('Autobahnkreuz 20 - Stuttgart') change to the A8 in the direction of Munich/Airport. Then follow the directions from Karlsruhe (see above).

 

From B27 federal road

Coming from Tübingen, follow the B27 until the Exit for 'Vaihingen-Möhringen'. Then parallel to the motorway.

From direction of Stuttgart, take the A8 exit towards Munich, but do not drive onto the motorway, but follow the signs towards the airport Messe.

If you prefer public transport, the S-Bahn lines S2 and S3 will take you from Stuttgart main station to the "Flughafen/Messe" stop in the basement of the airport in less than half an hour. From there, the fair is within walking distance. Until the end of 2021, the U6 line will also run to the western entrance of the trade fair centre.

The Stuttgart Airport Terminal (SAB) is located at Terminal 4 of Stuttgart Airport. The terminal is served by long-distance buses (including Flixbus and Deutsche Touring) and regional buses from Tübingen (Airportsprinter), Kirchheim Teck (Relex), Leonberg (Relex), Reutlingen (eXpresso) and Esslingen (Line 122).

Motek (International trade fair for automation in production and assembly) und Bondexpo (International trade fair for bonding technology)

With the two sister fairs Motek (International trade fair for automation in production and assembly) and Bondexpo (International trade fair for bonding technology), two trade fairs will again be held in Stuttgart in 2019, which are aimed at national and international trade visitors.

The 38th Motek will clearly focus on all aspects of mechanical engineering and automation. Motek Stuttgart's target group is mainly metal and plastics processing companies and their suppliers with a focus on automotive, mechanical engineering and equipment construction, the electrical and electronics industries, medical technology and solar production.

The Bondexpo trade fair is the international trade fair for bonding technology. The focus of Bondexpo in Stuttgart is on detail and system solutions along the process chain of joining and basic bonding, gluing, sealing and foaming.

The Motek and Bondex fairs are held annually. At the last event in 2018, the two fairs together attracted around 35,000 visitors from Germany and abroad who came to find out about the latest innovations and trends.

How to get to Motek/Bondexpo, Messe Stuttgart

The exhibition grounds are located directly on the A8 motorway from Munich to Karlsruhe, so you can easily reach Motek/Bondexpo by car. As the exhibition grounds are directly adjacent to Stuttgart Airport, it is also possible to get there comfortably by plane. At the airport, the SAB long-distance bus terminal also offers the option of arriving by long-distance bus. If you prefer to travel by Deutsche Bahn, you can reach the exhibition grounds from Stuttgart main station in around half an hour by S-Bahn.
